FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Health has issued a warning about a possible exposure of COVID-19 at the Magaret Ma Murray YMCA.
According to Northern Health, staff and children at the Ma Murray YMCA may have come into contact with the lab-confirmed case sometime between November 16 and 18.
At this time, Northern Health is advising anyone who may have been potentially exposed to self-monitor for symptoms until December 2, which is two weeks following the time of exposure.
Northern Health says every licensed child care facility in B.C. has a COVID-19 safety plan in place. In this circumstance, the safety plan was followed precisely – and because of this, the risk of further transmission is low.
Further information on public exposures and outbreaks can be found on Northern Health’s website.
