VICTORIA, B.C. – The B.C. Teachers’ Federation is asking parents to support the use of face masks at schools.
In an open letter to parents, BCTF President Teri Mooring is asking them to support a culture of mask-wearing and to encourage all students to wear masks, as a further step to help keep everyone at school safe from COVID-19.
Mooring acknowledges that not everyone is able to wear a mask due to health reasons or because of learning situations where masks are not appropriate, but by talking to your children about wearing their masks in school, Mooring says you can help to create that respectful culture of mask-wearing.
