Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Highway 97 – Pine Pass.
According to EC, a Pacific frontal system will bring snow into the Pine Pass early this evening. The snow will become heavy at times overnight and early Tuesday morning. This will result in accumulations of nearly 20 cm of snow.
The snowfall should end by late Tuesday morning as the Pacific front moves south of the region.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times with heavy snow.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly, resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
