FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Health has announced that it has rescinded the outbreak called on Wednesday, November 18, at Peace Villa Long Term Care Facility.
Northern Health had originally reported that an outbreak had been declared after a worker tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Northern Health, the outbreak was called after a potential exposure was identified and out of an abundance of caution. Upon additional investigation, the result confirmed that there
was not an exposure at the facility.

At this time, health authorities confirm there is no evidence of transmission of illness among staff or residents within the Peace Villa facility.
Peace Villa will begin the process to shift back to restricted visitor protocols under COVID-19 Long term Care rules and policies.
