FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Hospital Foundation invites the community to participate in the silent auction for the Foundation’s ‘Be An Angel’ campaign.

The silent auction will be on the ‘I Remember’ Quilt and will run from November 30th to December 5th on the FSJ Hospital Foundation’s Facebook page. Most years, the silent auction takes place at the ‘Be An Angel’ year-end gala. However, with the current COVID-19 pandemic, things will be done differently this year.

The highest bidder will be bidding so that the name of their loved one is sewn onto the quilt, which will then be permanently on display in the Fort St. John Hospital.

The ‘I Remember’ quilt began in 2007 when volunteers from the FSJ Country Quilters Guild handcrafted the quilt to provide an opportunity to remember a loved and help raise funds for the Foundation. To date, the event has raised $45,525 for the Foundation.

The quilt will be displayed in the Hospital Foundation office window from November 22nd to December 5th for people to view the quilt safely.

Any interested bidders can request to join the FSJ Hospital Foundation ‘I Remember’ Quilt Silent Auction page on Facebook. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the Foundation for assistance at 250-793-0998.
