FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The 17th Annual Rhyason Contracting ‘Light A Moose’ will begin on November 18. The three-day event will take place from 6 am to 6pm November 18th, 19th, and 20th at the Murray GM parking lot.

The ‘Light A Moose’ campaign will be the Hospital Foundation’s most important end of the year campaign due to the ongoing pandemic. Previous Foundation annual events and third party fundraising events have been cancelled due to COVID-19.

This year, NorthRiver Midstream will be matching the first $20,000 of donations raised to help the Hospital Foundation achieve its goal of $100,000.

Brandon Anderson, CEO of NorthRiver Midstream, says, “NorthRiver Midstream is very excited to support the ‘Light a Moose’ Radiothon and the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation. There has never been a more important time to support organizations that enhance community spirit, resilience and wellness in Fort St. John and the broader northeast BC community – essential services that the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation provides every day. The impacts of COVID-19 on the economy have resulted in challenges for local non-profit organizations like the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation to hold their usual fundraisers, and we hope that our donation will encourage others to come out and support the Foundation in meeting their fundraising goal”.

The Hospital Foundation helps to play an important role in purchasing any medical equipment that is needed at the Fort St. John Hospital as well as Peace Villa Residential Care Facility. These purchases help to make an important difference in the enhancement of patient health-care, medical procedures, and medical services.

The community is invited to participate in the campaign by calling the FSJ Hospital Foundation at 250-793-0998 to donate VIA a credit card. You can also come down to the Murray GM parking lot and donate in person with cash, cheque, debit, or credit.

Health and safety protocols will be in place.

Murray GM will also be donating $20 from every oil change during the campaign to the Foundation.
