FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – After a courageous battle with neuroblastoma, seven-year-old Natalie Small passed away Tuesday, November 3rd.

Natalie had been battling cancer for four years and brought the community together over the years as fundraisers were done for her and her family.

One of the last events was bringing Christmas to Natalie and her family in September, and more recently, the FSJ Return It was accepting bottles and cans to help raise funds for the family.

Since the passing was announced on Facebook by Small’s mother, Deanne, the FSJ Return has announced they will be using the funds donated from bottles and cans to help with funeral expenses and help the family get back on their feet.

The North Peace Family SuperPark Facility announced via Facebook that on November 4th, play would be by donation, which can be made by cash, debit, credit, or e-transfer. The money will be put towards a foundation of Deanne Small’s choice and help with funeral expenses.

There is also a GoFundMe page set up in hopes to raise money for the funeral expenses.

A Facebook fundraiser and GoFundMe have also been set up for Natalie’s father, Chris Small.

If you’re a local business and are also doing a fundraiser to help Natalie’s family, please let us know, by sending an email to [email protected], and we will add you to the list.
