VICTORIA, B.C. – Three new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Tuesday, bringing the total of confirmed cases in the Northern Health Region to 425.

As of Tuesday,  the BC CDC reported there were 21 active cases within the Region, with no one currently hospitalized.

According to the Deputy Provincial Health Officer Dr. Réka Gustafson, 299 new cases were confirmed, Tuesday, across B.C., bringing the total to 15,800.

On Monday, an outbreak was announced at Rotary Manor in Dawson Creek where one worker had tested positive for the virus.

Active cases across the province stand at 3,017 and 12,430 have since recovered.

Hospitalizations in B.C., are at 92, with 22 of those in ICU.

The province’s death count is now up to 272.

6,888 people are currently under active public health monitoring as a result of identified exposure to known cases.
