UPDATE – The freezing rain warning has ended.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Fort St. John and the surrounding area.

According to Environment Canada, A warm front is giving periods of light freezing rain to the Fort St. John and northern Peace River areas late this afternoon. The freezing rain is expected to end this evening.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
