FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Local restaurant Chopped Leaf held a Community Day fundraiser on Thursday, October 29th, to help raise funds for the Fort St. John Firefighters Charitable Society.
Chopped Leaf was donating 50 per cent of its proceeds for the day to the Firefighters Charitable Society. The Society helps to provide financial support to local families who face costly medical travel expenses.
The FFCS also helps with donations to local charities in Fort St. John and surrounding areas. Most years, the society holds a Gala; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event had to be cancelled.
On Friday, October 30th, it was announced that Chopped Leaf had raised $2,131 for the FFCS.
