FORT NELSON, B.C. – Fort Nelson Secondary School is reporting a potential exposure incident of COVID-19.

According to FNSS, Northern Health notified them, Wednesday, about a potential exposure to a confirmed case of COVID-19 that occurred on October 15 and 16.

School District 81 and the Secondary School are working with the local health authority to determine if there is any risk to other members of the school community or if any additional steps are required.

The local health authority will connect directly with any individuals who may have been exposed, with further instructions. If you are contacted by the health authority, you are being asked to follow their advice carefully.

The school will continue to operate as usual, following their current Stage 2 safety procedures.
