FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – With the fresh snow that fell Monday morning, came a number of reports of poor road conditions along Highway 29 and the Alaska Highway.
According to Dawson Road Maintenance, there were reports of trucks that had spun-out due to snowy and icy road conditions along Highway 29.
The junction at the Alaska Highway and Highway 29 was even closed for a period of time to prevent further traffic incidents as crews worked to plow and sand the highway.
Despite the spin-outs, no injuries were reported and the highway was reopened shortly after 11:00 a.m.
Dawson Road Maintenance is reminding drivers to use caution on the roads when weather conditions change and to check current conditions by visiting drivebc.ca.
