UPDATE – As of 1 p.m. the Highway is open to single-lane alternating traffic.
POUCE COUPE, B.C. – Highway 2 is closed south of Pouce Coupe after a collision Monday morning.
The collision is blocking Highway 2 in both directions, but traffic is being sent down the old Old Edmonton Highway as a detour.
We are still waiting for more information from the RCMP about the collision. According to photos from the scene, the crash involved a grader and a transport truck. Drivebc.ca, reports slippery sections on Highway 2 from Pouce Coupe to the B.C./Alberta border.
