DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – BC Transit has announced that their fleet of buses in Dawson Creek will be seeing full driver doors in upcoming weeks.
The doors will help to protect the health and safety of the BC Transit drivers. Kodiak Mobile Video Installations will be doing the door installations that were produced by AROW Global Corporation.
The driver door is a movable barrier situated to the driver’s seat near the farebox and has been designed to increase protection for the drivers.
The door will include a transparent piece of laminated tempered glass with an anti-glare coating and metal base. The full driver door window can be adjusted to account for sightlines associated with different seating positions.
The installations will take place over a two-day period, and no impact on service should occur.
Back in September, it was announced that the BC Transit System in Fort St. John would be completed.
