FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Today, Wednesday, October 21, is the last day for advance voting in the 2020 Provincial General Election.

For this year’s election, Elections B.C. made the advance voting period for seven days, from October 15 to October 21.

Elections B.C. says the number of days for advance voting is up from six in the last provincial election in 2017. The extra day was added to give voters more opportunities to vote and to help reduce numbers in voting places as a pandemic response measure.

Advance voting continues until tonight at 8:00 p.m.

If you were unable to take part in advance voting, you can vote on General Voting Day which is this Saturday, October 24, with polls being open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

More information on how and where to vote in the General Provincial Election can be found on the Elections B.C. website.
