DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Northern Health is reporting of a known exposure of COVID-19 at a private school in Dawson Creek.
According to Northern Health, the exposure took place between October 13 and 14 at Notre Dame School.
As a result of the known exposure, Northern Health identified and notified close contacts who may be at an increased risk, and advised them to self-isolate and monitor for symptoms for 14 days.
Northern Health says if you do not receive a phone call or letter from Public Health, your child should continue to attend school.
You can monitor your child for COVID-19 symptoms daily using the BC COVID-19 Health Assessment Tool.
If your child’s school has been notified of an exposure, no action is required unless you are contacted by Public Health or are otherwise directed by school officials.
Public Health will contact you directly in case of any school exposure involving your child.
