FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Health has announced that flu vaccines will be available at clinics, pharmacies, and doctor’s offices starting the first week of November.

Northern Health recommends making an appointment, especially this year,  during the current pandemic. Appointments will help to reduce line-ups and will maintain safe physical distancing. Northern Health pubic health clinics are also encouraging the use of masks and implementing physical distancing measures.

According to Northern Health, Flu shots are safe, effective, and free for many residents of B.C, including children, seniors, pregnant people, Indigenous people, those with underlying medical or chronic health conditions, and those who work with or come in close contact with higher-risk groups.

For more information, you can visit the Northern Health website and to find a flu clinic or provider close to you; visit the Immunize BC website.
