FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – After a delayed start to the season, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fort St. John Huskies were on the ice Friday night, October 16,  at the Pomeroy Sport Centre as they took on the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks in game one of the five-game Exhibition Series.

Despite this being their first game of the season, the Huskies were able to pull it off with a shutout victory of 10-0 over the Canucks.

The first goal was made on a powerplay by Logan Kimmie, at 6:44 into the game, with assists by Jared Winkel and Nick Loewen.

Overall shots-on-goal were 40-16 for the Huskies.

No fans were allowed to attend, but the game was available through a pay-per-view live stream.

The next game date could be sometime in November but that date has yet to be determined.

Further updates can be found on the FSJ Huskies Facebook page.
