VICTORIA, B.C. – Elementary and High school students from across the province will participate in the Student Vote for the 2020 provincial election.
Around 1,035 schools have registered to participate in representing all 87 provincial electoral districts.
Voting will take place on Wednesday, October 21st, and Thursday, October 22nd. Students will take on the roles of election officials and coordinate the voting process for their peers. The student vote results will be released publicly once the official election is over on Saturday, October 24th.

The students will be able to vote by using traditional ballots or the option to vote online.
In 2019, 1.2 million Canadian students participated, representing 9,000 schools from all 338 federal ridings. More than 210,000 BC students from 1,400 participated. In 2017, more than 170,000 BC students participated representing 1,100 schools.
