FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – B.C. Hydro is confirming another new positive case of COVID-19 at the Site C work camp.

This is the second case that has been confirmed at Site C, with the other case announced on Tuesday, October 13.

According to Hydro, the worker arrived at Site C on Monday, October 12. The following day, the worker began presenting symptoms and was immediately isolated. The worker did not begin their scheduled shift on October 13 or travel outside of the worker accommodation camp.

Hydro says it was notified of the positive test on Thursday, October 15.

Northern Health has confirmed this case is not connected to the case that was announced on October 13.

This is the fourth confirmed case of COVID-19 on the Site C project to date. All cases to date have been unrelated.
