FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Northeast B.C. Community Foundation has announced it will be providing $50,000, in round two of funding, to support local charities responding to COVID-19.
This funding is in partnership with Community Foundations of Canada, United Way Centraide Canada, and the Canadian Red
Cross, which is funded through the Federal Government’s $350M Emergency Community Support Fund.
The Northeast BC Community Foundation is now accepting applications for funding from qualified donees, with the submission deadline on October 30.
The Emergency Community Support Fund was initially announced on April 21, 2020, by the Prime Minister of Canada.
The Northeast B.C. Community Foundation awarded $75,000 to eight organizations during the first round of funding.
