FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The North Peace Rod and Gun Club has announced the contest openings for the 2020 Rich Petersen Memorial Youth White-Tailed and Mule Deer Recognition Awards and the 2020 Youth Celebration of Hunting Awards.
Both awards are for club members only and for young hunters ages 18 and under. According to the Club, youth members can submit their hunted rack and animal head for scoring now until January 28, 2021.
The heads will be measured by local taxidermist and scorer Royd Lusk and awards will be presented at the North Peace Rod and Gun Club on February 7.

Categories for the Rich Peterson Memorial Youth Award are white-tail and mule deer, while the categories for the youth Celebration Award include bison, moose, sheep, bear, elk, wolf, caribou, and cougar.
