FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Northeast B.C. Yukon Midget Trackers were home on Sunday as they hosted the Peace River Royals.
At 1:15 into the game, the Trackers were off to a quick start as Logan Kimmie would make an unassisted goal making the score 1-0 over the Royals.
There would be no more goals during the remainder of the period.
In period two, no goals were made but two penalties were handed out to the Trackers for cross-checking and game misconduct. The Royals received one penalty for holding.
At 7:15 into the third frame, Justin Brownlee would score a goal with an assist by Connor Kindrat.
The Trackers were able to keep Peace River from scoring a goal throughout the remainder of the game. The Trackers would win 2-0 over the Royals.
Currently, in the Bouchier Division Standings, the Trackers are standing at a strong first place with 44 points.
Up next, the Trackers are home on Friday, February 22, as they host the Grande Prairie Storm. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Pomeroy Sport Centre.
