GRANDE PRAIRIE, A.B. – A Grande Prairie drug dealer has been sentenced to eight years in prison as part of a large drug bust.

30-year-old Khristopher Ali, of Grande Prairie, was convicted of possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and was handed an eight-year prison sentence in a Grande Prairie courtroom on February 12, 2019.

This arrest was part of two separate Alberta Law Enforcement Team investigations.

Ali was arrested, in September 2017, with 1.3 kilograms of cocaine, 573 grams of methamphetamine and 1,476 fentanyl pills.

According to ALERT, this was considered to be the largest drug bust at the time of the seizure.
