SURREY, B.C. – The Midget Northeast B.C. Predators female hockey team were in Surrey on the weekend for Wickfest.

In game one of Wickfest, on Friday, February 1, the Predators faced the Northshore Avalanche. The Predators lost 1-0 to the Avalanche.

Then for game two, on Saturday morning, the Predators would take on the Surrey Falcons. After a high intense game, the Predators managed to beat the Falcons 5-2.

Then on Saturday night, the Predators faced the Kamloops Midget Junior Blazers for game four of the Tournament. The Predators swept that game 4-0 over the Blazers.

On Sunday, the Predators would take on South Island for the finals. After a tight game, the Predators fell 1-0 to South Island.

Predators Head Coach, Rob Larson, says overall, they had a good weekend at Wickfest.

“I felt we outplayed them for most of the game but they capitalized on one mistake and that was the difference in the game. Overall, we had a good weekend.”
