FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Chocolate Festival is seeking help from bakers and volunteers to help make this years festival a sweet success.

February 9th, 2019, the Chocolate Festival is asking bakers to contribute two identical items from one of the five following categories. Cookies, candy (Boutique), squares, cakes or kids.

One of the baker’s entries will be displayed for the Live Auction and the other will be offered as tiny “tasters” for the judges and patrons of the event.

To confirm a spot as a Bakers for the event call the North Peace Cultural Centre, (250) 785-1992.

Volunteers are also required for the event and can call the NPCC if you can help on this busy day.

Winners of each category will receive a blue ribbon, recognition at the event, on the North Peace Cultural Centre web site, in the media as well as free admittance to next year’s event.

Proceeds from the Chocolate Festival go to supporting Children’s Art Programming in the form of the Let’s Art free art program, Playarts Preschool, and other arts programming at the North Peace Cultural Centre.

The Chocolate Festival starts at 6:00 pm at the North Peace Cultural Centre. Tickets for the event are being sold at the NPCC box office. $20 per adult, $10 per child or $45 for a family of four, which includes an unlimited tasting of chocolate confections donated by home and commercial bakers.

Enjoy tasting treats and bid at the silent auction table. The live auction for the baked goods begins around 6:45 pm. There is something for everyone.
