FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Crystal Cup is seeking volunteers to help out with the upcoming hockey tournament and activities in late February.

This is the first year where the event has focused on making it more family and kid friendly.

“This is the first time we have ever put out a list of the kids and family events,” said President Neil Evans. “We really ramped it up this year with the family and kids scene. Having the event both Saturday and Sunday.”

In terms of volunteers, the event will meet its requirements one way or the other.

“We do have lots of friends and family that are associated with the Crystal Cup if we can’t find anybody,” added Evans. “Our Executive Committee consists of eight people so there is no shortage of help available. The list has only been posted for a couple days and I expect that there will be a lot of people wanting to help, similar to years past.”

For more information or if you would like to volunteer, visit the Crystal Cup’s website, Facebook and Twitter.

The pond hockey tournament will take place from February 23rd to 25th on Charlie Lake.
