FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Huskies finish off January on the road this weekend with games in Grande Prairie and Fairview.

The Huskies are coming off a weekend where they suffered a shootout and overtime loss sandwiched around a win which kept them in second place in the NWJHL standings, five points behind the league-leading Dawson Creek Jr. Canucks but have four games in hand.

“This weekend will be a good test,” said General Manager Jeremy Clothier. “We are down a few players due to family responsibilities so it will give some other players a chance to step up and fill in those holes. The intensity of practice picked up immensely this week, guys know it’s getting to be crunch time and need to take it to the next level.”

Friday’s date with the JDA Kings and Saturday’s clash with the Flyers both get underway at 8:00 p.m.
