Nate Rogers captured the gold in the Boys 9-10 group. In the Girls 11-12 category Grace Adam won gold while Frankie Woods took home the silver. Dayton Carson won gold in the Boys 11-12 group while Kade Schwarz also swam to a gold aggregate in the Boys 13-14 aged competitors.
“This event features the younger swimmers,” said head coach Steve Carson. “We had a lot of new kids compete in distance races [800- and 1,500-metre freestyle] and most had never competed in those events. There was a lot of nerves but as coaches, we know that they are fully capable of. It was a great way to instill some confidence in them.”
Next up the club is a trip to Grande Prairie this weekend which will feature the older swimmers.
