TAYLOR, B.C. — The Taylor Speedway hosted the final round of stock car racing for the 2017 racing season over the August long weekend.

It was an exciting three days of racing action for the Speedway’s IMCA Special weekend. Tyson LeClerc was the fastest Junior Mini Sprints racer all weekend, dominating Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Kaden Beebe finished in 2nd on Saturday ahead of Kieran Pickering, before Pickering recorded back-to-back 2nd place finishes on Sunday and Monday. Eddie Scarfo finished in 1st in the Senior Mini Sprints on the first two days of the weekend, but was upset by Cody WIllis on Monday. Willis and Anthony Seguin placed 2nd and 3rd respectively on the first two days.

In the Mini Juniors, Dakota Krahn was the stand-alone winner over the long weekend, while a number of drivers ended up elsewhere on the podium. Chantel Richards finished 2nd on Saturday, followed by Jesse Wassenaar. Wassenaar added another 3rd place finish on Sunday, while Russell Duncan finished ahead in 2nd. Duncan moved into 3rd on Monday afternoon, getting leapfrogged by Darin McDonnel’s 2nd place finish.

Clint Mason and Jordan Harrison strung together a triplet of respective 1st and 3rd place finishes in the Mini Adults. Jamie McGall placed 2nd on Saturday, while Sunday and Monday saw Justin Tackaberry with a pair of silver finishes.

In the IMCA Modifieds, there were three straight days of exciting racing. The Top 4 from all three days are as follows.
