CHARLIE LAKE, B.C. – Traffic was delayed on Highway 97 yesterday after a semi-truck had its fuel line break.

Chris Cvik with the Peace River Regional District says that close to 100 litres of fuel was lost.

“There was a fuel spill just outside of the Charlie Lake Firehall on Highway 97 Southbound. A tidy tank and trailer broke the fuel line.”

Environmental officers as well as fire crews, CVSE officers and RCMP had one lane of traffic blocked while cleanup took place.

There were no injuries reported.
