FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – For those interested in running for City Council, you will have a chance to gather more information this week.
The meeting will provide more details on what to expect if you would like to run in the upcoming by-election to fill the seat vacated by Peace River North MLA Dan Davies.
The session is scheduled for Thursday, July 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
The meeting will provide an overview of Council roles and responsibilities, remerunaiton and benefits and time commitment requirements.
Those who attend will be given time to ask questions and also review the candidate binder.
The City says that the nomination period begins on July 25, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. and ends on August 4, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
