FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Ken and Arlene Boon’s agreement with the lease on their house was set to expire on July 23 at midnight but they are still there.

“We’re still in the house. We’re not packing, we’re not moving, we’re still in the house. We haven’t received any other word.”

Ken Boon said that he had been in contact with someone from BC Hydro regarding the matter and they were unofficially told not to worry, as they won’t be moving them from their home in the Bear Flats until things are resolved when it comes to the BCUC and government decisions.

“It is very unofficial but that is the sense that we have been getting.”

Boon said he believes that they have been given a total of 5 extensions so far, starting from the beginning.

“It’s going to a BCUC review so it is a whole different ball game now.”
