VICTORIA, B.C. – Christy Clark has resigned as the Leader of the BC Liberal Party.

The resignation is effective August 4. Clark has also given up her seat as MLA of Kelowna West.

“Today, I informed my caucus colleagues of my intention to resign as leader of the BC Liberal Party effective Friday, August 4”.

In her statement, she said she is certain that British Columbia’s best days lie ahead.
