FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Police in Fort St. John are investigating what they believe was a targeted aggravated assault against a 24-year-old man on July 1.
The victim claims that three men entered his residence located in the 8600 block of 83rd street, where the suspects superficially beat him and stabbed him. Police say they were notified closer to 5:30 p.m. on Canada Day, when the incident was actually believed to have happened closer to 9:00 a.m. that morning.
The injuries are believed to be non-life threatening and the victim was released from hospital later in the evening of July 1st.
Police say there is currently no risk to the public as they believe the attack was targeted.
