FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Fresh off a shutout win against the Beaverlodge Blades on Friday, the Fort St. John Huskies are back in action tonight to take on the Dawson Creek Jr. Canucks.
Huskies head coach Todd Alexander said after Friday night’s win against the Blades that the team has been focusing more in the defensive zone, which paid off during the game. The Beaverlodge Blades weren’t able to get a single shot on net during the third period of the game.
The Jr. Canucks meanwhile are coming off a 6-5 overtime victory over the Grande Prairie County JDA Kings on Friday night. The Jr. C’s still occupy top spot in the NWJHL standings with a 9-4 record, while the Huskies are seven points back with a record of 5-5-0-1.
The take to the ice tonight at the North Peace Arena at 7:30 for the warm-up before the puck drops at 8:00 p.m.
