GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB – Police in Grande Prairie are looking for help from the public to identify and locate a female who said she was in distress.

On November 11, 2016 at approximately 3:30 p.m., RCMP attended a local convenience store after an unknown female indicated to the clerk that she was in distress. She ended up leaving the area in a taxi before police could arrive.

Police say attempts to locate and identify the female have been unsuccessful so far.

The female is described as:
  • Asian
  • Approximately 35-40 years old
  • Black shoulder length hair

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the female or has recently been in contact with her to please contact the Grande Prairie RCMP Detachment at 780-830-5701 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
