FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – According to an article by Bloomberg, Rich Coleman, British Columbia’s minister of natural gas development says Petronas will have a decision on whether or not to move forward with the Pacific NorthWest LNG project by April.

In an interview in Vancouver, Coleman says they (Petronas) need time to go out and re-price the project including the costs of steel, pipes and other components.

Coleman estimates they hope to have that done in 3-6 months. Once that is done, they will go back to investors and decide whether or not they want to make a final investment decision.

The project was approved by Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Government back in September. They imposed 190 conditions that must be met before the project goes ahead.
