FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – 20 young promising Irish dancers will be representing Fort St. John in Calgary this coming weekend.

Dancers will come from all over the country including B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The dancers from Watt School of Irish Dance are:

  • Elyse Kemp, Reese Gibbons – U8
  • Lauryn Campbell, Mia Hamre – U9
  • Kale Dietz, Naia Gibbons (Current West Canadian Champion) – U10
  • Mélodie Kemp (Current West Canadian Champion), Makenna Armstrong – U11
  • Emalee Chapple, Haley Korfmann, Kaitlyn Rowe – U12
  • Jade Gibbons, Eden Pomeroy, Gillian Jarabek – U13
  • Annica Osterlund, Jordan Crawford, Gracie Chapple – U14
  • Ashlyn Bolog, Courtney Cowger – U16
  • Stevie Mazur (Current West Canadian Champion) – O20

Naia Gibbons, Mélodie Kemp and Steve Mazur are heading to Calgary already having world qualifying positions with them. Both Naia and Steve qualified at the 2016 North American Championships while Mélodie double qualified from the North Americas and 2016 World Championships.
