More snow in the forecast

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Expect more snow before the current storm is over.  According to Environment Canada, Fort St. John received 9.2 cm of snow Thursday and the forecast calls for up to 5 cm more on Friday.

Snowfall warnings have ended for the South Peace but have now been issued for many areas in the Alberta Peace.  The warning for that region calls for up to 15 cm of snow on Friday.

Snow in the South Peace has caused several school buses to be cancelled.  According to School District 59, Dawson Creek school buses are cancelled for the day. Parkhill-Tremblay shuttle bus will run. Chetwynd area buses are running on schedule.

According to Drivebc.ca, every highway in the Peace region is has compact snow with slippery sections.

Environment Canada says Fort St. John could see 5 cm of snow Friday, followed by light snow on Saturday and Sunday.
