Heather Nedohin makes appearance at Curling Club’s 70th Anniversary

Curling season is coming...

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Curling Club held a big celebration last weekend to celebrate it’s 70th Anniversary in the Energetic City.

Fort St. John native Heather Nedohin, who has won the Scotties Tournament of Hearts on two separate occasions, joined members of the local curling community for the festivities on Saturday. Nedohin did several clinics for curlers in the community, and also spoke with members of the public that were in attendance to hear what it was like to be a professional curler.

In addition, the club held a dinner and dance on Saturday night as part of their fundraiser for the purchase of new rocks. Curling Club Manager Brayden Whitford said that the club was able to raise roughly $10,000 to $15,000.
