QUESNEL, B.C. – The Northern Metalic Bantam Flyers are taking a break from their Edmonton Rural Bantam Hockey League season this weekend, but they won’t be taking the weekend off.

The Bantam Flyers will be in Quesnel this weekend competing in the Quesnel Bantam Invitational tournament starting this afternoon. Head coach Craig Brownlee says that the team will be playing their first game Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Quesnel and District Twin Rinks, followed by a pair of games on Saturday at 7:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Brownlee said that he’s hopeful that Bantam Flyers will also be in action on Sunday morning to earn themselves a spot in contention for the gold medal game.

The Bantam Flyers will be back in action in the Peace Region next weekend when they host the Parkland Athletic Club Broncos for a pair of games at the North Peace Arena.
