FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – It was a chilly day for the Blizzard Bicycle Club’s first cyclo-cross race of the fall season.

While the trails near the race venue of Surerus Fields were clear after Saturday night’s Firefly Walk/Run, there were some muddy and slushy segements of the race off the paved trails. Despite the cooler temperatures, the sun was shining brilliantly as the riders raced. It was a photo finish as the top three riders all crossed the checkered flag within seconds of each other.

Davide Loro took the first place finish, completing eight laps in 32:02. Pat Ferris finished just two seconds back in 32:04 for 2nd, while Darren Guliov finished third just 4 seconds after Ferris. Josh Telizyn rode the 8 laps in 34:20, while Nick Guliov managed to complete six laps in 31:20.

The Blizzard Bike Club will be back racing for their next event on October 15th.
