TAYLOR, B.C. – The Taylor and District Minor Hockey Association has announced the details of their upcoming New Year’s Eve party and fundraiser.

The fundraiser was planned after the hockey association needed to purchase board inserts for the Taylor Ice Centre in accordance with new requirements for Pre-Novice and Novice hockey to play on a smaller ice surface by Hockey Canada. The board inserts cost the association nearly $8,000. In addition, Graziano says that the association will also be raising money towards the purchase of a new scoreclock, after the existing clock experienced numerous failures during the last hockey season.

The fundraiser will be taking place on December 31st at the Taylor Community Hall, starting at 8:30 p.m. The gala, which is only for those aged 19+, will feature live entertainment from ‘Big Night Out,’ a midnight lunch, snacks, and a designated driving service.

Tickets for the event are $50 per person, or $80 for two, and can be bought online at Eventbrite. Alternately, you can text or email Desirae Graziano at (250) 262-9663 or at novice_director@taylorminorhockey.ca.
