FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Despite a lower turnout from previous years, the zombie walk was still a success this year.

Event organizer Becky Grimsrud says the event went quite well and they raised quite a bit of food.

“I think it went really well. It was a smaller group from other years, but we still managed to raise just over $150 for the Women’s Resource Centre. We also raised about 126 pounds of food.”

The amount of food raised as well as cash was also lower from previous years as well, but they still made sure they had something to donate. Grismurd noted though that there were some pretty good costumes at the event as well.

The event took place at centennial park. Grimsrud said the weather cooperated and the photo booth was also a great success.
