FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Curling Club says that it will for sure be opening its doors on Monday at noon.
General Manager Braden Whitford spoke with Energeticcity.ca two weeks ago, and said that he was optimistic about being able to open on October 1st. Complications with getting the rink ready to go and flood means that though there is still a slim chance of meeting the date and opening their doors late Saturday afternoon, Whitford says that the rink will most likely be open on Monday afternoon.
With curling leagues not scheduled to begin until after Thanksgiving, the curling club will be offering open ice to members and non-members alike to get a feel for the sport.
