FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John RCMP are investigating a possible road rage or other incident on area streets.

On September 12th at around 4:00 p.m., the Fort St John RCMP received several 911 calls the incident. Callers told police that a tan-coloured GMC pickup cut off a small black coloured car at the intersection of 96th St and 100th Ave. Witnesses said that once the vehicles came to a stop, two men dressed in grey hoodies, blue jeans and wearing bandanas on their faces jumped out of the truck and ran toward the car.

The passenger of the pickup truck was allegedly armed with what appeared to be an SKS or similar style rife and pointed it at one of the individuals in the car. The driver of the car was able to reverse and flee north on 100th Avenue before anything further occurred.

In the afternoon of September 13th, after receiving tips from the public and the efforts of the Fort St. John Drug Section, investigators were led to a multi-dwelling unit on 101st Street where police seized 2 SKS rifles and prohibited magazines for each rifle. Police believe one of the seized rifles may have been used in this incident.
