TAYLOR, B.C. – The Northeast BC/Yukon Trackers will be hosting their first training camp this weekend at the Taylor and District Ice Centre. The camp will be the first on-ice session with new head coach David Johnston, who was announced as the club’s new head coach two weeks ago.

In conjunction with the Trackers camp, the as-yet unnamed Peace Region U18 Female Tier 1 team will also be hosting tryouts in Taylor. Head coach Jason Stark says that the team will be playing in tournaments throughout the region after overwhelming positive support for a higher-tier female hockey team was received by the Peace River District Minor Hockey Association.

The Trackers’ camp begins on Friday evening with registration at 5:00 p.m. before the players hit the ice from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Both teams hit the ice on Saturday and Sunday. For more information and for ice times, visit the Fort St. John Minor Hockey Association’s website.
