EDMONTON, A.B. – Inconnu swimmer Skyeler Kerr is in Edmonton this morning, set to compete in his first event at the 2016 Canadian Swimming Championships.

The swimmer, who won one silver and two bronze medals at the Age Group Nationals in Calgary last week, will competing in five events at the swim meet. Beginning with the 50 metre Freestyle this morning, Kerr will swim in the 50 metre Butterfly on Friday, both the 50m Backstroke and 100m Fly on Saturday, and the 100m Freestyle on Sunday.

This will be the third major national event this season for Kerr, who also competed at the Olympic trials in Toronto back in April. Kerr says that he needs to become a true morning person in order to achieve success at the meet, due to all of the qualifying heats for each final happening during the morning hours. He says that everything from his sleep schedule and diet, to how he trains can play an important factor during each of his qualifying events.
