Fort St. John man makes first Supreme Court appearance over alleged terrorism charges

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. –  A Fort St. John man accused of terrorism related charges made his first appearance before a B.C. Supreme Court judge on Friday.

Othman Hamdan appeared by video in a Vancouver courtroom.  Any details of his case have been put under a publication ban.

Hamdan is charged with three counts of committing an offence for the benefit of a terrorist group and one count of instructing a person to carry out terrorist activity.

His next court appearance is set for August 26th.
